Obituary of Sandra Lee "Sandy" Grace (Trudeau)

Our mom was a very strong willed, independent woman. She was a single parent who worked hard to support her daughters, loved quilting, needlework and knitting, she was blessed with the patience and the skill for creating beautiful pieces of art out of fabric, then lovingly gifting them to friends and family. Piecemakers was her favorite old reliable craft stop. She inherited these traits from my grandparents, Albert Trudeau and Beatrice Trudeau, whom she has been reunited with her and our beloved Aunt Ida Mae Knapp in the heavens. Raised on Newhope St in Santa Ana, she graduated from Mater Dei High School in 1963, and lived on the family ranch in Trabuco Canyon, her parents dream, built by her father and family members, which is now known as "Rancho Las Lomas". She had a very tenacious sense for being a caregiver to family members and friends who preceded her in death. She instilled those values in her children. Shelley Scott of Clements, CA and Cheryl Tarrant of Powell, TN. Her grandchildren, Alec Cole Tarrant, of Arlington VA, Julia Gray-Scott of Williams, CA, Lyndsay Gray, Chico, CA and Cameron Scott of Clements, CA were the light that guided her and kept her strong. They were what kept her motivated to live. They and her dogs, Abbey and Lacey were the loves of her life. Everything revolved around them. She worked hard for others and went on to build her own bookkeeping business and ultimately became an enrolled agent. Health issues forced her to retire but friends and loyal clients would call and she was always happy to help. She is survived by her loving husband, John "Greg" Grace. We are truly indebted to him for all of the love and support he gave her. He took his vows seriously and loved her in sickness and in health. Even through the toughest of times he hung in there, that cannot go without recognizing. Lastly, those who she loved dearly, her brother in law, Larry Knapp of Yorba Linda,CA and her beloved nephews, Michael Knapp of Los Gatos, CA, Anthony Knapp of Santa Ana, CA, Kevin Knapp of Alta Dena, CA, her best friend and confident for almost 50 years Dolores Hoskins of Orange, CA and of course, Rox, she was truly blessed to be a part of your lives.
