Echo was born in a two room sod house built by her father in Watford City, North Dakota. She graduated from Willamette University in 1939, served the country as a Navy Ensign during WWII and taught school in both Madison, Wisconsin and Stockton, California. She was preceded in death by her sister Della and her husband of 67 years, Max Polinsky. She is survived by her three sons, Allan Polinsky (Gale) of Acampo, David Polinsky (Monica) of Auburn and Gary Polinsky of Seattle, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Loved and admired by many she was a remarkable woman who, at 85, took on the computer like a kid. She communicated by email with friends all over the globe including people she had never met in person. Echo was an active member of Holy Cross United Methodist Church and several other organizations including serving as unofficial "first lady" to Alpha-Psi over the years her husband served as adviser. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the Chapel located at O'Connor Woods, 3400 Wagner Heights Rd, Stockton.
