Isadore Scherr, 81 , of Lodi passed away on December 18, 2011. He was born July 24, 1930 in Strasberg, North Dakota. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was awarded the Bronze Star three times. In 1957 he married Phyllis Fischer and they came to Lodi in 1962. Mr. Scherr was a member of the Local Laborers Union # 73 and was employed through them in the construction industry for many years. He was a member of American Legion Post # 22 of Lodi, a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and was Past Jr. Vice Commander of the V.F.W. Post 1968 of Lodi. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis of Lodi, daughters, Debra Bounds of Lodi, Linda Uhls of Oregon, Janet Scherr of Lodi, and a son, Gary Scherr of Lodi, brothers, Ray and Pius Scherr of North Dakota, sisters, Sally Geisinger of Minnesota, Rose Wald of North Dakota, Bernadette Kilber of Lodi and eleven grandchildren. Visitation will be held Tuesday noon to 7:00 PM at Rocha's Mortuary, 215 South School St. Funeral services are Wednesday, December 28, at 11:00 AM at Rocha's Mortuary with committal to follow at Lodi Memorial Cemetery.
