Al Schmidt age 77 was born April 19, 1934 in Iowa and passed away in Woodland, CA on February 14, 2012. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War Al was the Head Custodian for Washington School in Lodi for 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Cecelia Schmidt two brothers and 5 sisters. He is survived by his wife Phyllis Schmidt of Woodland, daughters Brenda Schmidt-Bartles, Sheila Krebs (John), Sherry Taylor(Kelly), Robin Koinzan (Dave). Two Brothers Arnold and Hank Schmidt, a sister Cecil Hirsch. 7 grand children, Jose, Autumn, Josh, Cassandra, Amber, Destine, Katie4 great grand children Valerie, Jose, Dyllon, Addison. Visitation will start at 9am at the funeral home and the Funeral services will be held Friday February 17th, 2012 at 1:30 pm in the chapel of Rocha's Mortuary 215 South School Street Lodi with committal service at Lodi Memorial Cemetery 5750 E Pine St. Lodi. In liew of flowers donations can be made to the family.
