My condolences. Just learned of Lloyd's passing. I believe he was a great uncle, as my grandparents were Archie and Evelyn Rapalee. I think Lloyd's mother was the sister of my Grandfather Archie. I met Lloyd and brother Max when I was a child.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. When I was a young girl we spent many hours watching your dad play on the Guild team. My dad, Vernon Mettler had great respect for him. I was so honored that he came to my father's service two years ago. I imagine there is getting to be quite a reunion in heaven of the ball players. I can hear the crack of the bats now.

So sorry for your loss. Your old neighbor, who loved to talk baseball with Mr. Hittle. I remember watching the final game of the 1960 World Series at your home, when Bill Mazeroski hit a home run for the Pirates to win the series.
