Alvin Stevahn age 87 was born in Wishek, ND on March 31, 1925. He passed away May 5, 2012 in Lodi, CA. Mr. Stevahn moved to Lodi in 1961 and worked as a custodian for over 32 years. He served in the Army Air Corp during WWII in the Philippines. Mr. Stevahn was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lodi. Mr. Stevahn was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Stevahn, five brothers and 3 sisters. He is survived by his children, Dennis Stevahn, Dwight Stevahn, Bonnie Powaser, and Debra Hill, eight grand children, David and Elizabeth Stevahn, Whitney, Nicholas, Alexander Powaser, and Ashley, Tasha, Daniel Hill and long time companion Esther Lantz. Services will be held on Thursday May 10th at 11:00am at The First United Methodist Church of Lodi 200 W Oak St, with Visitation on Wed. May 9th from 12:00 to 4pm at Rocha's Mortuary 215 S. School Street and a military committal at Lodi Memorial Cemetery 5750 E Pine St. following the service. Donation can be made to The First United Methodist Church.
