Sarah E. Granados August 24, 1923-August 17, 2012 Sarah Elizabeth Granados, 88, of Lodi passed away peacefully August 17, 2012 after a lengthy illness. She was born August 24, 1923 in Venice, Illinois to Jess Hughes & Mary (Simshauser) Hughes. Mrs. Granados is survived by her sons Ralph E. Granados of Lodi and Alfred P. Granados of Brookings, Oregon, a sister Violet Gallington of Marshall, Illinois, 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Alfred B. Granados (d. 2005), her father & mother Jess & Mary Hughes and her brother Harry Hughes. Mrs. Granados was a cook for a family-owned restaurant, a high school cafeteria, as well as Guild Winery Tasting Room where she was a gourmet cook for events and guests. With her husband she cured olives, made dried fruit and enjoyed fishing and going to ballgames. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and St. Anne's Catholic Church. Friends are invited to attend graveside services 11:00am, Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at St. Joachim's Catholic Cemetery, 13392 E. Lockeford Ranch Road, Lockeford. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to Asera Care Hospice, 2529 W. March Ln., Ste. 101, Stockton, CA 95207. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Rocha's Mortuary, 215 S. School St., Lodi.
