Marla Dean Harris died peacefully at the age of 68 on September 22, 2012 at Hospice House in Stockton Calif. After a courageous battle with ovarian cancer for several years. She was a loving Mother, daughter, proud grandma and devoted Wife and wonderful friend. She will be greatly missed. Marla was born on July.8,1944 in Lodi Calif. To Helen Rupert of Lodi. She was predeceased be her sister Gretchen Arnold of Oregon and her late husband of 21 years Richard Harris. Marla grew up and lived all her life in the San Joaquin Valley of California and was a proud "4th" generation Native daughter of the Golden West. Marla enjoyed many loving years of marriage to Richard Harris and together they spent every year taking camping trips to the Trinity Mountains fishing on Lake Trinity and vacations to the ocean, enjoying Bodega bay. Marla dearly loved her church family at Clements Community Church where Richard and she were long time members. She loved the friendships and fellowship. She was a True testimony of faith and loved studying God's word. Marla worked as a dietary aid for over 30 years and retired from Arbor convalescent hosp. Marla always looked forward to visiting her daughter and family in Georgia and their many adventures and beyond to Florida beaches. Marla is survived by her mother Helen Rupert, and children, Kim Antram and son-in-law Jerry Antram, Cathy Anderson, Janine Crocker and Rick Pisatcello. Grandchildren Kelsi Antram, Darian Antram, Sarah Connely, Justin Anderson, Nicki Crocker, Tayse Crocker, Travis and Tommy. Great grandchildren Ryder Crocker and Rudy Connely. As well as her sweet poodle "Prescious". Please join us for A "Celebration" of Marla's life on Sat. September 29th at 11 am at Clements Community Church. 18544 Walnut st. (off Hwy.88) Clements, Calif (Church on the Hill) Pastor Ron Martens officiating. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice House of San Joaquin. And Clements Community Church.
