Shan Denise Mickelsen, 61, of San Jose passed away at her home on November 30, 2012. She was born Shan Denise Gebhart on May 27, 1951 in Jamestown, North Dakota. Her family came to Lodi when she was an infant and she attended local schools and was a graduate of Lodi Union High School. Shan married Peter Mickelsen on January 27, 1973 in Lodi. They resided in Truckee and Aptos before moving to San Jose 22 years ago.She was self-employed as a disability representative. Shan is survived by her husband, Peter, son, David Mickelsen, daughter, Kelly Katzman and grandchildren, Carissa, Kayla and Tyler Katzman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rolland and Viola Gebhart, brother, Daryle Gebhart and a sister, Charlotte Seefried.
