Parry Lee Buck, 59, of Victor, died May 18, in Lodi Memorial Hospital. Parry was born at the Dunklin County Memorial Hospital in Kennett, Missouri, July 8, 1953. He grew up in Eugene, Oregon and lived in Victor for 10 years. He graduated from the University of Oregon in 1975 and did agricultural graduate work at universities in Taiwan and Scotland on the agricultural applications of blue-green algae. He served domestically in the U.S. National Guard in 1980. Parry taught high school math and science in Las Vegas, Nevada, El Paso, Texas, Pasa Robles and in Stockton. In 2009, he founded and ran Northern California Wind, a company that provided design and some installations of medium sized wind turbines for farms, vineyards and river moorages. He is survived by his daughter, Helena Buck of Victor, his former wife, Valerie Buck of Stockton, mother, Charlotte Mills of Tidewater, Oregon, father, Dr. Mylon Buck of Sisters, Oregon, and his sister Dana Buck of Dedham, Massachusetts. Parry's special interests were agriculture, environment, bees and anthropology. No services are planned at this time. Donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made to: Dana Buck, 62 Thomas St., Dedham, Ma. 02026, to assist his daughter in defraying funeral and education expenses. Rocha's All Faiths Cremation and Burial is assisting the family with arrangements.
