Obituary of Robert "Paul" Kliss

Paul, a loving husband and father, passed away peacefully in his sleep. After going through rehabilitation from a stroke in March of this year, he was diagnosed with bone cancer on Monday, October 14, and was released from his pain shortly after, the morning of Saturday, November 2. Paul was born June 24, 1944 and was raised in Livermore, CA by Tony and Phyllis Kliss, alongside his 5 siblings, Jean Rooney, Susan Henderson, Carol Meals, Theresa Spraggins and Edward Kliss. Paul graduated from San Jose State University as a CPA, putting himself through school by working the California carnival circuit with his cousin Donn Alexander. Once graduating, he went to work for Occidental Petroleum. Paul put his career on hold to pursue his dream of being a restraunteur, and owned and operated Sammy's Hot Dogs & Alisyn's Deli Caf. Later in life he went back to accounting where he worked for Enron for a stint and ended his career working at Container Fabrication Machinery with his cousin Gary Alexander. Paul is survived by his wife, Brenda, and his 2 daughters, Alisyn and Samantha. Paul loved to make people around him smile and did anything he could to help those around him. He was dearly loved by everyone who knew him, and will be sorely missed. There will be no funeral service held, but anyone who knew him knows that is not what he would have wanted. The family will be having a celebration of life on Saturday, November 30, so please raise a glass and make a toast to the wonderful life he lived.
