Obituary of Leon Elders
Leon Elders was born to the late Lola M Carter and Adam Elder Jr on December 11, 1934. He was Lola's only child.He received his formal education at Carver High in Gasden Alabama. At an early age his grandma Lena Carter instilled Godly principles, strong faith and a dedication to always be active in the work of the Lord. Leon left Alabama when he was seventeen and moved to California where he met and married Bobbie Davis To this union two daughters were born, Marilyn ( Mae ) and Leona ( Lynn )Leon was a happy outgoing person who loved and lived life to the fullest. He loved his family. Leon was one of many to help form the motorcycle group known as the Soul Brothers of East Palo Alto. He was called Crazy Leg because of his style of riding ( kicking out his leg to show off ) He also had a love for horses which he had many.Leon was said to be the Best Detail man in the Peninsula , working for Gus Mozart in Palo Alto, Porsche/ Audi in Palo Alto and later Swanson Ford in Los Gatos putting in over 40 years in that business Preceding him in death were wives Lois Donaldson and Mary Graze Graham and one brother Robert L Elder. He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters Marilyn Butler ( Morris A III ) and Leona Elders ( Joseph Holland Sr ) Grandchildren Marshall ( Donte ) Fairley, Myiesha Prince, Jennifer Fairley, Joseph ( Joey ) Holland II, Candice Butler and Jacqueline ( Jolyn ) Holland. Five great grandchildren. Ajene Rufus, Sanai Williams, Jaylen Damon, Emery and Isaiah Fairley. One Dear Aunt Mary L White. Six brothers Walter, John, George, James, Reginald and Stanley Elder. One sister Charlene Pasley All of Chattanooga Tennessee and a host of other relatives and friends
