Obituary of Giovanna Mae Holguin

Giovanna M. (Thomas) Holguin, 36 of Lodi, passed away April 11, 2014, from a lengthy illness. Giovanna was born January 5, 1978 in San Jose, CA. Settled in Lodi in 1985. After she graduated from Lodi High School in 1996, she worked as a CNA and as a Supervisor for a Teen Group Home. Later, she married Carlos Holguin and they had two daughters, Maria and Jillian. Giovanna was our families "go to girl" for any help we needed and she will be missed dearly. Giovanna was preceded in death by her grandparents, Albert and Maria Martin. Also, Vance Shandaway (Pops). She is survived by mother, Karen Thomas, sister, Rodnita Thomas, and great friend, Cristina Gonzalez. Her loving children, Maria and Jillian Holguin, father, Rod Thomas and half-brother, Rod Thomas Jr. Services will be at Rocha's Mortuary at 11:00 am., Thursday April 17th. Viewing begins at 9:00 a.m. Thursday.
