Obituary of Hope Navarrete (Morales)

Hope Navarrete, 82, of Acampo, passed away May 4, 2014 at a daughter's residence. She was born July 19, 1931 in Herald, California to Marcelino & Petra Morales. Mrs. Navarrete was a homemaker and a cannery worker. She will be greatly missed and was known to her kids as "Mama Chiquita." Mrs. Navarrete was the beloved wife of 56 years to the late Geronimo Navarrete, the loving mother of Rose Juarez (& husband Javier), Hector Navarrete (& wife Ramona Ibea), Yolanda Gomez (& husband Jose), Rachael Navarrete (& husband Jose Tristan) and Lawrence Lopez (whom she raised and loved as a son), the dear sister of Pauline Ornealas and family friends Salvador & Esther Castellanos, the devoted grandmother of 4: Javier Juarez Jr., Leticia Navarrete, Marisela Juarez and Mariah Navarrete, and cherished great-grandmother of 11 1/2: Sophia, Suzet, Diego, Julian, Evangelina, Gavin, Valentino, Alexandria, John Santino, Matias, Henry and one on the way. Friends are invited to graveside services 11:00am, Friday, May 9, 2014, at Lodi Memorial Cemetery, 5750 East Pine Street, Lodi. Visitation: Thursday, May 8, 12:00 noon until vigil (rosary) at Rocha's All Faiths Cremation and Burial, 215 South School Street, Lodi. Vigil: Thursday, 6:00pm.
