Obituary of Bernice F. Hittle
Bernice Frances Hittle, on August 23, 2014 at the age of 92, entered into eternal rest to join her beloved husband, Lloyd Eldon Hittle Sr., who proceeded her into heaven where they will be together for all eternity. She was the beloved mother of three children, Gerald Hittle (Mary), Joanne Adamson (Jimmy), and Lloyd Hittle Jr. (Gayle). Known as Nanny to her grand children Marc, David, Dusti (Zak, affectionately known to Nanny as Chubby Cheeks), Sandi, Jeremy (Sandra), Rachel, Amy (Steve). She was a proud, caring, and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to Marcus, Akayla, Haylee, Cody, Tatum, and Kaley. She is survived by her brother Charlie Brackett (Pat), Sister-In-Law Ruth Brackett, as well as her children, grandchildren and great-grand children. She was proceeded in death by her brothers Wayne and Gordon. Bernice was born in Lodi where she lived her life with her loving husband and they raised their children. She was a ball players wife, following wherever Lloyd was playing. She worked for the Guild/Bear Creek Winery for over 30 years. After her retirement she and Lloyd spent the better part of 17 years camping and fishing, spending long summers at Lake Almanor. The next day, she was followed into the eternal life by their faithful "German-German" Sheppard, Brew. When she passed, he followed, having kept guard over her when she was brought home to be with family in her final hours, his body began to fail him. Brew was a faithful loyal companion to Lloyd and Bernice so it's only fitting he join them in heaven. "What a woman" is all we can really say about her.... My family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Multani as well as the Nurses and Aides at Lodi Memorial Hospital for their great compassion and care they provided Bernice. Graveside service on August 29th, at 1:00 pm at the Lodi Memorial Park Cemetery, 5750 East Pine Street, Lodi, CA 95240 Visitation on Thursday August 28th from 10 - 4:00 at Rocha's All Faiths 215 S.
