Obituary of Diane Helen Pendergraft (Davis)

Diane Davis Pendergraft passed away unexpectedly in her sleep at her home in Lodi, California on May 4, 2016 at the age of 58. Diane had recently battled and survived cancer. Diane is preceded in death by her brother Douglas Davis and her father Wendell. (Wendell Davis of Lodi, California, passed following a short illness, on May 3, 2016). Diane was born in Manteca, California on February 24,1958. She graduated from Lodi High School in 1976 and went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from University of Pacific in Stockton, California in 1981. She worked as a pharmacist for several years until her health necessitated a change of profession. Later she was a math tutor in Lodi for many years for students of all ages. Diane enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and with her fianc Mitch Pedraza of Reno, Nevada. She loved dogs, and had recently adopted a dog (Missy) from the local animal shelter. Diane is survived by her mother Fern Davis; brother Jonathan; sister Myra Davis (David) Willingham; Sister-In-Law Kathy Fujikawa Davis; nieces and nephews Jeffrey (Megan) Davis, Gregory Davis, Derek Reinelt, and Kaija Reinelt; grandnephew Henry Davis; grandniece Jillian Davis. A combined Celebration of Life (Diane and Wendell) will be held at 1-4pm on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Heritage Oak Winery, 10112 E Woodbridge Rd, Acampo, CA 95220 (209) 986-2763, www.heritageoakwinery.com. Memorial donations may be made to Best Friends Animal Society, www.bestfriends.org, or a charity of your choice.
