Obituary of Donald Garfield Mindt

Donald G. Mindt, passed away on April 9, 2018 in Woodbridge, CA Don was born on May 18, 1944 to Alvin (Ollie) and Dorothy Mindt in Lodi CA. Don’s father Ollie Mindt was the owner of the original Ollie’s Tavern in downtown Lodi. Don shared his father’s love of bartending. In January of 1988, he along with his wife Donna opened Mindt’s Place. They worked together until closing in 1995. Don continued tending bar at Roys’s Club and Jack’s Back until his retirement in 2007. Don is survived by his wife of 43 years Donna Mindt of Woodbridge, son, Shawn (Susan) Mindt of Lodi, Grandsons: Stephen (Taylor) Mindt of Utah, Christopher Tolbert of Ca, three great grandchildren and a sister, Sandy Lewis of Lodi. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Steven Mindt. Private interment will be held. In lieu of flowers donation can be made in his memory to the Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS) P. O.
