Obituary of Gladys Eleanor Logan

Obituary Gladys E. Fachner Robinson Logan Gladys E. Logan, 93 passed away after an extended illness on June 22, 2019 with family at her side. She was born in San Francisco, Ca. to Manuel Fachner and Bertha Fachner on October 1, 1925. When Gladys was 6 months old, her family moved to Lodi, Ca., where she lived her life. As a teenager Gladys worked for Robinson’s Feed Store, where she met her future sister-in-law Evelyn Robinson. They would become life-long friends. After graduation from Lodi High School Gladys married Emery Robinson, also from Lodi. They had two children Lynn and Gary. The marriage ended in divorce, but Gladys raised her children in Lodi and always remained close to her Robinson family. Gladys was employed as a bookkeeper at Super Mold until it’s closure. She then was hired by San Joaquin County as it’s Retirement Officer. While working there, Gladys met Merle Logan whom she later married. Together they shared over 50 years, until Merle’s death in 2017. Gladys and Merle were members of the English Oaks Seventh Day Adventist Church, where she remained an active member. She loved her “church family”. Preceding her in death were her parents Manuel and Bertha Fachner: husband Merle Logan, son Gary Robinson, sister Betty Handel and her grandson Scott Ellis. She is survived by her daughter Lynn Ellis, grandson Brian Ellis and sister-in-law Evelyn Robinson Olson. Her family grew to include great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Graveside services are private for immediate family only. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. at English Oaks Seventh Day Adventist Church on Tuesday, July 2, 2019. Gladys would be honored if you chose to donate to your favorite charity, in lieu of flowers.
